Midlife Rescue is a revolutionary 12-week coaching program created by Janet Walker, a health and wellness expert who has been where you are – and came out on the other side feeling better than ever (more about Janet below!)

It includes:

Rather, Midlife Rescue is focused on embracing where you are, resetting both your mind and your body and evolving into the future – no matter what it holds – with clarity, confidence and choice.  

Meet Your Guide

Janet Walker is a midlife women’s wellness coach who helps women balance their bodies, enhance their energy and master their mindset during the (massive) transition that is menopause.

Midlife Rescue was born out of Janet’s own experience navigating menopause in the face of a ton of adversity (a thyroid cancer diagnosis, facial surgery and a few bad falls to name just a few). She not only made it through – but feels better than ever as a result of the tools and techniques she teaches through this program. 

In addition to her work as a coach, Janet is an osteopathic manual practitioner. She has a bachelor’s degree and an osteopathic sciences diploma from the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO) and practices (in Toronto Canada) on a part-time basis.

As a lifelong ‘fixer’ and solver of other people’s problems, Janet felt a strong calling to pursue coaching – so she did just that and is now a Wellcoaches® Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

It was her own experience successfully managing and overcoming the effects of menopause that inspired her to focus her coaching work on helping other women do the same. 

Janet’s (self-described!) approach is ‘science-based with a dash of woo’; she tells it like it is (in the best possible way) and is incredibly down-to-earth, warm and funny. 

She loves hiking and open water swimming, modern Canadian fiction, experimenting in the kitchen and teaching her (older) dog new tricks!

Midlife Rescue is divided into three phases, each of which tackles a number of topics and builds upon the next. Here’s an overview of the flow of the program and specific topics we’ll cover in each phase:

(Note: though Midlife Rescue is designed to be a 12-week program, the option also exists to spread it out over 24-weeks.)

Who Can Join?

Though it’s designed for women navigating menopause (and perimenopause), most of the principles and techniques you’ll learn through Midlife Rescue are applicable to a range of transitions and challenges (divorce, loss, etc.).

All you need to reap the full rewards of this program is:

What to Expect

If you’re interested in joining Midlife Rescue – or think you might be – the first step is to schedule a complimentary consultation with Janet.

If you decide to join the program, here’s what you can expect from there:

    1. You will receive both an invoice and a contract
    2. You will be asked to complete a standard coaching questionnaire, and invited to join the private Midlife Rescue Facebook group
    3. We will book your initial (60-minute) coaching session, during which we will build your personal wellness vision, set some three-month goals and walk through the program
    4. The transformation begins – you’ll start to receive your weekly lessons and schedule your coaching calls for the coming weeks

Frequently Asked Questions

Coaches aren’t advice-givers; we’re catalysts for change in others. We study the science of happiness and wellbeing to help you:

  • Build confidence in a supportive environment that fosters success

That said, as someone who’s been where you are, Janet is in a unique position to empathize with you – and share some of the things that helped her manage the (massive) transition that is menopause.

Yes. Janet is a Wellcoaches® Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Great question. Our first and last calls are a full hour with 30-minute check-in calls in between, for a total of 8 hours of one-on-one coaching. Our first call is all about understanding your starting point and goals and our last one is all about taking what you’ve learned and launching you into your next phase with confidence. The ones in between are designed to help you understand and work through each week’s lesson, troubleshoot any blocks you’re experiencing – or talk through anything that’s ‘come up’ for you that week.

Calls take place virtually via Zoom – which is an easy platform anyone can use!

Through a private Facebook group for Midlife Rescue participants only. This is a safe place to ask questions, seek support and share challenges both during and following the program. We’re all in this together!

Yes – this program is designed to be done over the course of 12 weeks. But if you want or need more time with each lesson, you can opt for an extended 24-month timeline, where you’ll receive a lesson and a coaching call every two weeks instead of one.

Yes! You will be dealing and working with Janet herself. She will be invested in your success and here for you every step of the way.

Absolutely. If you wish to continue being coached by Janet once the program is over, you can do so on whatever schedule works for you.

If after your first week you don’t believe Midlife Rescue is for you, you may request a full refund. No hard feelings!

Though this program is designed for women navigating menopause, most of the principles and techniques are applicable to a wide range of transitions and challenges (divorce, loss, etc.) at any stage of life.
